The point is that Florida law allows for candiates to ask for a manual recount. It is a right!

So the logical answer to your question is this.

In a close election and because of a proven 3-5% inaccuracy rate by machines, Florida law and other states allow for a candidate to request a manual recount to ensure a greater accuracy.

If the vote is not close, then a manual recount it a pretty silly waste of time, isn't it?

Common sense, Long. I asked you: Are you not for as accurate a count as possible? What is wrong with that?
