Alski,

Well...damn...ok...here's my opinion.
The system that caters to the electoral college is outdated. It's been outdated for at least 1/2 a century. It's been an inadequacy waiting to happen. Well now it's happened. The electoral college system has broken down. How can I say that?...you might ask.
Well...by definition...any procedure that is assumed to be sacrosanct that instead allows lawyers to ply their trade within the very heart of that procedure, is broken. If it weren't broken, lawyers would not have a doorway into the process.
I don't care any more who the next president will be. What I do care about is that this fiasco should not be ignored and that a solution to the electoral college be in place by the next election. The reason for the establishment of the electoral college is embarrassing enough...perpetuating it in the name of tradition is egregiously narrow minded...imo
