LOL! i just love your armor piercing grenade/reparation loan combination idea...the military should be immediately alerted to this potentially efficiency enhancing war toy.

i guess the ducks will also be pleased knowing they may be felled by something less common than lead in the future...

No one in North America uses lead on ducks anymore, for lord knows how long ... 15 or 20 years, anyway. Gold does sound like a good substitute, though, cheap, high mass and no heavy metal poisoning. -g-

BTW, depleted uranium isn't really used for its high mass, almost twice of lead, though that helps a bunch. It is used as a penetrator because it literally starts on fire on impact and burns its way through armor. It is also used for armor because it will tend to melt the incoming projectile on impact, besides being pretty dense.
