If 3407 votes is an incredible total for Pat B. in Palm Beach county, how do you explain the vote totals for the Senate race where there are 5 candidates nobody ever heard of but who all received between 1033 and 4385 votes?

Wayne,
I heard a voting technology expert on the radio discussing the ways that machines misread ballots. It was a pretty impressive list of possibilities, including humidity and bending of the cards. He reminded us that we use machines because they are faster, not because they are more accurate.
