chial hu,

For an inaugural post you sure picked a winner!

Lexar's admission of guilt was an anticipated result from my perspective and the basis for my investment in SanDisk is fortified by the settlement.

I guess I am relieved by the finality of the decision.

Whether the "design around" is a viable option for Lexar and whether it can be licensed further (in competition with SanDisk's licenses) remains questionable. I hope that SanDisk has made progress with multi-year licenses to other card assemblers and that they choose to continue with '987-based product lines. I look forward now to further licensing agreements with competing CF assemblers. That will be a big bonus for us shareholders. Most importantly, '987 remains valid and Lexar admits to the infringement as Judge Breyer had set forth in April.

Where is Eli's blessing on this deal?

I think I hear the champagne corks all the way out here.

Now let's go.
