Greenspan will do nothing.

I like the idea of encouraging private savings, but I think this is perhaps the worst time possible to make changes in the system that might encourage more speculation in the stock market.

If I had my way, SS would be reduced in some way to a system that catches the people that really need it, but let's the majority save for themselves. I have no clue how to get from where we are to where I would like to be.
