Wow. That does sound impressive. Could you explain why both China Unicom and China Telecom are implementing GPRS if 1xEV-DV is a sure bet?

This is the same problem I had with Unicom's grandiose IS-95 plans. Why did they keep spending heavily on GSM expansions all through 1999 and 2000 if they were just on the verge of a major IS-95 roll-out?

What's with the gap between what is being planned and where the operators are actually spending money?

Wow! Acronym heaven...

But only 9/10. No 1xRTT. No IS-95B. No ETSI. No SETI. No WAP, 4G, 5G, MC-CDMA, DS-CDMA, 1xEV, UMTS, HDR, GPRS, GSRS, GFM, CDNA and OFDM didn't get a look-in.
