"I have no idea what your statement means. I am a "control freak" because I want my vote to count nomatter which state I live in? The "control" by a few against the whole is what we do not want or need in this country and is what is causing this mess we're in " You stated you wanted to do away with states rights. That is how we have diversity of different people who reflect on life differently. By eliminating the EC and by doing away with states rights we allow a small group of elitists whether conservative or liberal to dictate to all how they must live and how they must think. Two prime examples of this are the religious right who would do away with a women's right to chose and Al Gore who would do away with the Boy Scouts right to associate with people who have a similar set of values. This country is big enough to allow people to live in harmony while expressing their different belief systems but not if we allow it to be controlled by a strong federal government. The only choice is to return power to the people which means power to the states whereby people can live in a state that reflects their own value system
