Not true. States have plenty of rights. They set their taxes and most laws within their states. They elect their senators, congressmen and local officials. They can make certain things legal or illegal. But when it comes to a presidential election all votes should and must count equally nomatter where you happen to be living. Your vote won't count any more or less than whomever it is you fear, those "elitists" or whatever.
