I think there are limits to their impartiallity. Look at Ms Harris, how can anyone throw out valid votes before they are counted. I'm afraid this will be settled in the State/Federal Supreme Courts. My only thought are that if that does happens then Mr Gore by courtesy of his attempt to personally mediate will be the only president acceptable to the US and the rest of the free world.

I agree that Judges can sometimes be unpredictable, and that applies to the US Supreme Court as well as to the Florida Court. Nevertheless the Florida court consists of Democratic appointees while the US Supreme Court is mostly Republican appointees. I would hope that they would be impartial, but frankly I am skeptical. If the Florida court issues even a single ruling in favor of Bush I may change my mind, but thus far I haven't seen any evidence that convinces me otherwise. Thus I continue to predict that Gore will continue to count until he has enough votes, and that Harris will refuse to accept the recounts, and that the Florida Supreme Court will force her to accept them. It could get interesting if the US Supreme Court gets involved, but I don't expect them to hear the case.
