Yamakita: Thanks. Curious if there is any way to tell if commercial and business use is growing using CDMA in Japan.
Is there any information or data available on that?

Since the future is the wireless / internet connection that is just getting underway with 64 k and the 1 X and then HDR (1xEV) which will be introduced earliest in Korea and then Japan, and that will be key for KDDI in Japan, (and others now on the CDMA evolutionary path elsewhere} no?

In the meantime the games and content and color (as you point out) carry the day.

Would much appreciate your informed view.

Best.

Chaz

PS And won't wireless / internet nexus for wireless enabled handhelds, notebook computers and laptops which are just now beginning to hit the market with many improvements to come, be an additional area where KDDI will run rings around DoCoMo in the next few years?

PPS The problem with data to date is that it is like looking in the rear view mirror. Not the best way to see ahead, no?

It's great getting a perspective from the so called horse's mouth. But Yes you are in the distinct minority and as I understand it the vast majority of i-mode users don't want to surf the web and are happier on the i-mode sites.

KDDI needs to offer the same content sites as i-mode, the ability to surf the web is inherent in the CDMA technology, so they would be offer customers both worlds and a good reason to switch over.
