Either way the public wants to see this finished by a hand recount. >>>

u mean the public that voted for gore -g-

hand counting 6,000,000 votes is ludicrous, let's step back into the dark ages and do it manually -LOL-

thats want al g wants, the inventor of the "new economy" =g=

<< The only fair solution now is for a bi-partisan panel to oversee a complete Florida hand recount. >>

The federal government recommended that Florida dump it's error prone punch card ballot system, back in 1988, 12 years ago. They warned of the problem that many chads were not being knocked completely off the ballot card.

Both Republicans and Democrats dropped the ball on this, by allowing an ineffective and error prone ballot system to stay in place.

Until they get the ballot system fixed here in Florida, I'm using absentee ballots. (OTOH, is the absentee ballot system free of errors and cheating?)

Bush will be a divisive and illegitimate President. The fundamentalist bible thumpers, and Republican radicals in Congress will be pulling his strings.
