Apparently somebody just made a tender offer for 15 million ABX shares at $20 Canadian. That probably has something to do with the late rally in gold stocks.

Hohohoh, It only goes to show that you miss information by putting anyone on your ignore list. lol Not only that you become hours late in your posting, and look like a fool when you post the same news as what is posted to you.

But this does help to explain ABX since Nov 2000 and before. Maybe insiders are covering?

That was TRC capital from Toronto. They bid on most of the Alberta oil industry a couple of years ago. The word is they don't expect to have their offer accepted but hope to pick up a lot of odd lot shares that may be offered. Their offers are always well below the current price.
