They said she could not reject them arbitrarily. She provided her reasoning so that may be enough. Fundmentally however her criteria were such that no letter should have ever been submitted. That is, she should have said to the counties... unless there was a mechanical failure or act of god that caused a count problem then I will reject any recount numbers.. however if indeed you have a malfunction then please submit to me the reasoning for the hand recount by describing this malufunction (or act of god).

I think she's trending a fine line actually, however for the sake of the market I hope they let her go with it. Problem is, if she does the demo's are going to file another lawsuit. I think the best thing that could happen (as much as I hate to say it) is for everyone to agree to the stinkin handcounts... set a deadline (call it Tuesday next week) .. add the votes and end this thing. In fact, if there had been no fight by the Republicans the hand counts would be done and this issue would be solved already...

Goal - to put an end to the wrangling.... however is president is screwed anyway.. at least in the short term.

It will be too hard to prove Secretary State Harris is abusing her power. Just way too difficult! How can a court say she is abusing her power? That would be equivalent to saying she is somehow bribed by Bush. I am pretty sure she did not set herself up for a such a situation. I am confident she covered all of her tracks.

I think her position in office just gave her too much power.
She may appear to be abusing it but i don't think anyone can do anything about; can't prove it in court!
