If Gore does pull this out, the main reason will be because of the suppressed Republican turnout the networks engineered. Even against that formidable obstacle, Bush almost beat Gore on the popular vote. There will be a lot of resentment directed their way, so that might take some heat off Gore.

Another Republican on TV is claiming that Gore is responsible for 4 recounts. I am growing weary of hearing this over and over. Even Bush's own spokesman Baker tries to imply this is a fact.

I have been watching since election day and this is what it looks to me like has happened.

We had a vote. It was too close to call. Florida state law required a machine recount. That was done. There was a significant difference between what the machines counted the first and second time.

After the machine recount either candidate was allowed to ask for a hand recount in all of the counties that he chose. Gore choose to have a hand recount done in 3 counties (or does Volusia make it 4?). In order to determine if a hand recount might possibly change the outcome of the election in those counties they had to do a sample of one percent of the votes to see if the results differ enough from the machine count to justify a complete hand recount. There was. This is not a recount, it is a canvassing of the 1 percent of the ballots to see if a hand recount is justified.

That is where we are now. They are doing a hand recount in 2 of the 3 counties that Gore requested it be done. Miami-Dade may still decide to do there's. Where do all of these hundreds of republicans on TV and here get the idea that Gore is responsible for 4 recounts? They haven't even done the 1 recount he requested in those few counties.

The filth that is covering the DNC from all the dirty tricks of algore will not come off with lye soap in four years. It will take more, so you get in and get all lathered up, I am sure you know how to squeal like the rest of the pigs.

He has no honor, and his all out campaign to take the whitehouse by hook or crook will haunt him the rest of his life.
