Th issue with the butterfly ballot is that Gore should have been the second punch (and second listed), a minority of voters (but a large enough minority to sway the result when the margin is .005%) went after the second hole, some of them noticed this and asked for new ballots, but were refused as some reports show. Some of these voters actually went to court to decide this, but I do not know where that is. In any event, Gore gave up on the opportunity to straighten that part of th mess, an apportunity which if he won, would have turned the table by 3000 votes. Nothing is simple in life.

SBH,

The reason Bush's counsul seems boring is that he is talking facts and Gores counsul is playing to the media and emotions. He is saying "don't confuse me with the facts. I'm trying to win an election here" !;^}

Well, in the last two hours, I was busy with other things (got to work from time to time). In any event, SCMR just was sold at $62-3/16 for $2. Also got the SCON at $6-3/4 as promised. Nothing else happened...Now, I am just waiting to see if we get an afternoon swoon down or a short covering rally, I have not the foggiest which it will be.
