Heinz, what was the voter turnout? I'll bet it wasn't more then 50%. It's kinda good to see the machine without it's clothes on. This whole schlamozzle shows the system for what it really is. A bunch of bonehead technocrats completely out of touch with reality.

One thing I heard on C-Span that really revealed Gore's tactics, which are shrewd, is that he only wants a recount of the undercounted ballots, that is, the ones that don't reveal any vote for president. The shrewdness of this request is that this way he can't LOSE any votes. If all the ballots are counted, some of the votes he already has can be voided by double counts which were not caught because the chads did not come all the way off. This way he can only win more, he can't lose anything.
