Neenny,

Yesterday morning started out wonderfully. I attended the ceremony of the induction of my oldest daughter into the National Honor Society. I came home and worked on getting her car painted.

She arrived home from school, I told her how proud I was of her, and she hit me with more good news. She found out that she had made the all district choir.(She tried out a few weeks ago)

I congratulated her.

She was backing out of the driveway later in the afternoon to take my youngest to her gym class. She ran into a fence post and did fairly serious damage to my new truck.

She complained that she had a headache.

As furious as I was, I held my cool.

I went back to painting her car, screwed up the paint job because of inattention, and now I have to repaint it.

Aren't kids cool?

You guys have all of this to look forward to.

Have fun,
Phil

Jane,

That's a great story.

My kids always look forward to the first snow.... so do I, as I did when I was a (younger) kid.

This morning Original Daughter #1 got up and raced into my room and said, Daddy, Daddy, it snowed. You could barely see any snow on the ground at all, it looked like a heavy frost with a few flakes in the air, but that was enough for her. She's ready.
