By the time the Florida S.Ct. issues its ruling Gore should have already established a solid lead. The press will report the swing like it's night baseball (to borrow from James shake-n-Baker).

Yep, Monday may call the election. Going to be suspenseful. Though frankly I'm getting sick and tired of the whole thing. Why doesn't that lousy Gore just concede and give it to GW? I can't understand it! gg LOL

I'll bet the GOP is really looking forward to going to the Supreme Court in Washington to get several thousand votes in Florida invalidated just because they were hand-counted. I'll bet they also wish like hell they'd put in recounting requests of their own a last Thursday. But they were playing "we've already won" back then, remember? Bush meeting with future cabinet candidates and Laura picking out the drapes? Might have been a bad strategic move. But then again, I know campaign advisors usually tell the candidate what he wants to hear. They know the messenger of bad news usually gets killed. And they were thinking of their own White House jobs. No such delusions in Gore's camp and that might turn out to be a lucky break for them.
Maybe. Anything could still happen. This thing is a real roller-coaster.

Bush will win the office I think, but if the manual recount is completed and it shows Gore has won the total vote, and if votes are thrown out on a technicality, it will look just awful for Bush.

I think Gore is going to try to assault Bush however he can. I think he is that sort.
