I disagree. While McCain was a POW in the Hanoi Hilton Dubya was involved in all kinds of chicanery. There are allegations of illegal abortions, cocaine abuse, he admits to alcohol abuse and a DUI, insider trading allegations etc. Dubya's malfeasance spreads, literally, across decades. Who cares about bad grades in college and a little partying? I don't. I do care about a man's inablility to get his shit together for the first 40 years of his life, possibly more. There's just too much that's clearly screwed up under Dubya's hood to make him an attractive used car, regardless of how well he's been waxed and buffed by the greasy salesmen. McCain was, is and always will be in a league ahead of little W. McCain has character, the real thing not the kind that's invented by rich Texas contributors.

And, when it comes to being a wild-ass, rootin-tootin young party animal, John could match or beat any Bush escapade.

Yes, maybe this is true, but GW's Biography has a whole chapter called "George W Bush - The Missing Years". Drugs, alcohol, AWOL, DUI and who knows what else. I don't exactly see this phase of McCain's life unless you would talk about his time as a POW in the Hanoi Hilton as being his missing years.
