To Thread,

The most successful company in modern day history, GE, has had other companies raid their management ranks and placed their personnel in the CEO position.

This move is a credit to ORCL's management training program and corporate culture. LE may not be well liked by some people and he also makes the investment community a little nervous, but, he has built a first class company.

This is a good move for Bloom, ORCL (i.e., solidifies relationship with VRTS) and finally VRTS (i.e., leadership).

This is buying opportunity for the stock IMO on Monday. Henley is quoted as saying that he think that ORCL will be on a multi-year roll. This would happen with or without Bloom.

Later, Bob.

You are entitled to your opinion. so am I.

I agree. Everyone is entitled to express their opinion.

I am giving my negative opinion about this stock. So what was "dishonest" about?

Nothing, but that wasn't your claim BEFORE, was it? I recall you whining that "you were CONCERNED." Now, you appear to have come clean and proclaim your INTENT to express your "negative opinion." Case closed.

The stock tanked. No one likes it. But, please don't take it out on someone else. . . . BTW, I sold most of my shares when the rumors of LE's death came out and were denied and stock didn't rebound. I knew the stock was down not because of rumors. It must be something else we did not know at the time.

First, gc, the point of this discussion is YOU and YOUR comments here, not the stock. If the stock rebounded 10 points Monday, I would still be here discussing the same issue with YOU with the same TONE. For some reason (which we can only guess) you seem to want to remind me and everybody else here of what the stock has done, and that you have sold most of you shares. Unlike you, I can read, so why do you keep repeating yourself on this point? Could it be you like to gloat? Could it be that you think because you exited the stock before Bloom's announcement makes the point of my beef with you any less correct? It doesn't. You're just confused and feel a continuing need to pat yourself on the back as if you think its going to win my argument with you. Sorry, its irrelevant.

However, when you can't see with your eyes, at least you need to think with your mind. Just my advice.

I see you have a habit of giving advice to others and repeating yourself. My advice to you is to get over yourself.
