What's fair is that 100% of the ballots be counted honestly. That's what is being done right now.

That's not being done now. Not 100% of the votes are being counted, and they are not being counted honestly. Here is the reason:

Ballots that are called questionable must be reviewed by the three-member canvassing panel - a time-consuming procedure. About 1,800 of the first 16,000 ballots were called into question. dailynews.yahoo.com

This is actually more than 10% of the votes can be unilaterally decided by all Democrat panel. I know that for Democrats, the only thing fair is a Gore win, so I am not surprised you call this process fair.

Many other states have election commissions that are always 50% Democrat, 50% Republican with the disputes going to courts.
