"There is no way IMO he will ever be able to come back in 2004..."

Ha ha... "You won't have Dick Nixon to kick around any more" came back to haunt us! What a circus that turned out to be.

Partisan response. The democratic response is that leading by only a few votes Bush sought to shut down and end the election though Gore has a legal right to demand hand recounts in any county he chooses by Florida law. Bush was so busy pretending he'd already won that he neglected to ask for recounts himself. Gore is just doing what any politician would do according to the law as it is in a very-very close race. Bush trying to stop the re-counting can be seen as trying to steal the election too, by refusing to grant Gore his legal right to these recounts. The Florida Supreme Court has agreed with Gore's right (so far) while the partisan Secretary of State is doing everything she can to stop it and lie about being "independent". Nothing independent about her.

They're only counting real votes. So if someone cast it it should be counted. Machines are not as accurate as they should be and the margin of error could effect the outcome of the election.

We'll see what happens. Gore needs 931 votes. Can he make it? Anyone's guess.
