Lewinsky Dan - Re:"How do you like the way 1.2 Athlon with inexpensive PC133 memory beats 1.5 P4 with costly dual channel Rambus on business applications?"

What 1.2 gig AthWipey systems?

No one but the cheerleader sites have seen one. They are just like the MP systems that you keep predicting - UNAVAILABLE in the real world.

BTW, I and many others are switching to digital photography. The outstanding image processing capabilities of the P 4 will work just great with the Adobe Photo Deluxe software that many use to process their photos.

Too bad the AthWipey is such a slug at that task.

Lewinsky-Dan - re: "Where are those AMD SMP servers ?
I'd say they're late. Like Itanic. "

Unlike the AMD SMP non-shippers, ITanium IS SHIPPING !

And the more Intel ships, the less liklihood of anybody every buying - or needing - a late late late AMD SMP bumble-chip.

Pretty cool, eh"

Well, the German folks threw up their version of benchmarks - of course, these are the AMD-Butt sniffing Germans - so most of us will wait until Monday and look at other benchmarks.

Too bad you AMDroids are losing so much sleep - and stock value - because of the Pentium 4.

Monica - re: 'So AMD continues to have plenty of time during which it will make lots of money and can continue to expand into some of Intel's other markets."

What markets might these be, Willy-Lips?
