I think that the Republican Party should give the Religious Right what they deserve and that is school choice. They pay taxes and they should not be forced to send their children to public schools. I believe that the religious right would accept this. The fact of the matter is that the morals of this country are so far removed from abortion that the debate in schools, is whether 8 year olds should be encouraged to explore their sexuality. Books aimed at grade school kids discuss fisting and other wonderful topics.

First it was Ross Perot to blame, then Bob Dole was going to beat Clinton except for that massive pro Abortion vote? This kind of strategy leaves a little to be desired. Maybe you should suggest that conservatives include a platform excluding the Christian right? You could trade the abortion cross-over vote for the religious right. Let's see, are Catholics pro-abortion? Not exactly, nor have they been repubs. Maybe you mean southern Baptists, and all others are o.k. Work out the kinks and get back to us on whom you are trading.

James

Don't think all of the Christian Right voted against Bush. Otherwise, our state of Virginia would not have carried for Bush as it did.

Nor, would Tennessee which is in the heart of the Bible Belt have gone for Bush.

If it is the Christian Right which has caused the possible loss of this Presidency, then perhaps the Republican Party will begin to listen and include them rather than excluding them----I for one believe that many are included.

Re. George Bush----imo he did not lose because of any group. It was clear from the beginning that he was not an enthusiastic campaigner----and given his "read my lips promise---no new taxes" in his previous election people went with Clinton believing erroneously that he would keep his promises.

Of course , what has happened since Clinton was elected is history. If Bush wins it will be due to Clinton and his lack of character in office.

Christians are now being blamed for all others' problems, and we are being persecuted for believing God's word as he communicated it to us in the Bible.
