The Shias and the Kurds suffer because of the dominance of the Sunnis. The three were tossed in a bastard country like Iraq, which was created in the Grand Alliance meetings that occured simultaneously with the Versailles peace treaty negotiations. And the reason it was created was to maintain a wedge between the Syrians and the Persians, either of whom have the potential to become the regional superpower and thwart the West's interests in the region.
