"When data over wireless 3G arrives here, then you wouldn't need the Internet cafe anymore."

elmatador- It's going to take at least five, more like eight to ten, years for 3G to rollout in Europe wouldn't you say? Lot's of less capital intensive steps inbetween first. -MikeM(From Florida)

I believe that the solution for this is already rolling out all over the world ... 802.11b wireless. Many of the airlines, including Delta, have started to deploy 802.11b in their various Crown Room locations, and are saying they will take it to the gates world wide. There are other airports today, such as Dallas/Fort Worth and Singapore, where 802.11b is already deployed.

I am one that believes that the cell carriers are going to be nicely blind-sided by data services being delivered via wireless "nano-cells" that will be installed at locations world-wide. And I really believe that Internet Cafes will start to deploy the 802.11b wireless technologies also ...

(And actually, I'm posting this message while sitting on my couch connected to the Internet via 802.11b wireless ... ;-)
