the Democrat party gives choice in one area only and that is sex.
There is a lot more consistency than that, but it is a big party with a plurality of ideas. In general I think the democrats support private activities, such as sex, religion, and most likely drug use, that does not affect the others around them. The key thing here is keep it private. There are lots of grey areas which I think could easily lead to consensus if there wasn't an all or nothing approach to every problem. The Gay-lib people want to dress in drag and dance in parks while the religous people want to put up crosses and pray at each home game. I think they are both wrong. There are time for gay rights parades, and times for public revivals or pope visits, and times to stay home and keep out of everyone's hair.
