Susan, nevertheless, vote recounts are a tried and trusted way for losers to sway elections their way...the method has even made it into the movies. anyway, it all makes for great entertainment...in the bigger scheme of things it doesn't really matter which lackey of corporate America gets elected...

I think you have a tie in this case with regard despots/tyrants and elections. Two common scenarios: (1) Despot wins election over popular opposition in a rigged election in a narrow victory; and (2) Despot loses election to popular opposition in what was supposed to be a rigged election and forces a recount, ignoring local laws and regulations, and declares himself victor.
