Would you care to show just how intelligent you are? Please tell us quickly how the Florida Supreme Court Justices are placed and retained on the bench. The clock is running.

TigerPaw, my wife definitely isn't chained to the stove. For the time being she is just a housewife, but in the past she has tried a variety of cases before a state Supreme Court. Furthermore she has extensive experience in the Federal Court of appeals, and I'd rather bet that she could tell the difference between a "sharp inquisitive" judge or question than that you can. She is also pretty good at reading how the judges will rule from the questions they ask, and since the judges' questions weren't related to the law of the case it seems pretty clear that they don't intend to follow the law.

As for whether or not the Texas Supreme Court contains "hacks", I can't comment. The only question here is whether Florida does.

Carl

tiger says... That was probably too subtle for your wife.

I must say that based on my serious analysis of previous Tiger speak. Somebody has a brilliant wife.

Oh, I see. Women who don't agree with your position are "chained...to the stove...".

The hearing was alright, but I guarantee you that the Texas Supreme Court would've had some more interesting questions to ask (given the depth of their intelligence relative to this court, in general terms, imho).

Most of the info that needed to be said, and that will probably ultimately sway the Justices, can be found in the briefs filed before oral arguments.
