I just replaced the power supply. After I had checked , to make sure that the motherboard , hadn't been shorted out , when the power supply failed. Usually if the motherboard has been shorted , you will see a burned capacitator or there will be the smell of a burned electronic device. If you have another computer , with the same spec power supply , just try it in your disabled machine. It usually fairly easy to replace the power supply , so it won't take long. The power supply at times ,can be decieving as to it's condition. For it has a number of power leads ,and all usually don't fail, at the same time. I hope this information will help you some, but it's only a guess from the description that you gave of your problem.

Best Regards
