Mike, is Daane the EVP mentioned here?

10:25 ET LSI Logic (LSI) 25 7/8 -2 7/8: Banc of America analyst Rick Whittington says that the CFO and EVP of the Communications Pdts Group whose departures were announced this morning were key officials, and that his BUY rating is under review.

Mike: The departure of John Daane is a serious blow to LSI. And I am at a loss as to why LSI did not retain him. There is no question in my mind that he was the heir apparent to Wilf. the most hopeful spin that I can give this is that he is now receiving his training as a CEO elsewhere is preparation for assuming the lead role at LSI.

But as it stands now, this is a deep blow to LSI, and Diana needs to get on the stick and give a credible explanation as to the circumstances behind Mr. Daane's departure.
