>>>As for deep value, you can find numbers like a PE of 9 for WCOM.<< Exactly! Or check out some of those high dividend yielding stocks in other sectors with pes in the single digits. Hopefully, though, CPQ is a faster grower which allows it a loftier pe.
Mighta known something was fishy when 30-60 days ago, or whenever, INTC was in the mid 30s and CPQ was at or about 30 that an adjustment was in order. CPQ isn't going to see 30 again til INTC sees 50+, imho. It wasn't all that long ago that INTC regularly sported a pe of 12. El

IBM at 23
AMD at 7.25
KLIC at 5.6
SUNW at 64.8
DELL at 29.8
MSFT at 30
CSCO at 146
PFE at 67

Shoot take your pick on PEs. Intel needs CPQ, and Dell. SUNW isn't supporting them.<g>

I agree with El on the PEs to an extent, but you need some simple bench mark to look at. I like PE and growth better then growth or sales to price ratios. The last time I checked, companies who make money last longer.
