When you say "The U.S. is becoming less white. 3 of 4 Hispanics voted for Gore over Bush two weeks ago; about 12 out of 13 blacks voted for Gore over Bush", do you feel about that?

What is troubling to me is that the black (and hispanics, per your statement) must overwhelmingly think the republican message of smaller government and hard work will lead to success is BS. It is ok to think that (you can think whatever you like in America), but it is a divisive message that will not lead to improvement of their status. I would be insulted if I was constantly barraged with how I have been wronged, and CAN'T succeed without our (democratic government) help. The sooner that mindset is changed, the sooner the conditions in which many blacks live in our society will be improved. Consequently, the longer the "helpless victim" message is embraced the worse things will get.

My advice is DON'T portray success as an evil of those crazy white republicans.
