Addi, Below is quoted from the press release. I had posted this earlier. I asked this question. Remember the stories of LSI splitting into 2 companies? Could this be a prelude to
that? Would that add value to the stock? Michael Murphy had predicted this possibility a couple of months ago for what its worth.

"LSI also formed two new communications organizations focusing on the global data
networking and the broadband communications markets to replace the former
communications products group headed by John Daane, who left to become chief executive of
a high technology company."

Addi: I suppose that you could say that the basic premise of its business model (ASICs) is under attack, but quite frankly, as a holder of a lot of LSI stock at about 34, so do I. I think fair value right now is in the low 40s, so on that matter, I am with you.

Addi and all: I am back in LSI now (I'm putting only about a third of my after-tax profits, though). My average price now stands around 27.

Good luck to all longs (including me!)
