Damn, those Q people are fast. Can't say that the response to my question illuminated the issue very well. Here is my query and the Q's response: As a QUALCOMM shareholder I would like to ask the following question: The slides which Dr. Jacobs used in his recent presentation to Goldman, Sachs indicate that Nokia is a customer for 1X cell phones. See the link below: <http://www.qualcomm.com/main/gsachs111500/5.html> Is this a typo? There has been no official announcement from either QUALCOMM or Nokia concerning this significant development. Moreover, the Nokia web site doesn't indicate that it sells any 1X phones. Can you comment? ____________________________________________________________ The slide you reference refers to those operators and manufacturers that plan to offer products and services for cdma2000 1x. SK Telecom in South Korea was the first to deploy the technology (October 1, 2000) and others are expected to follow in 2001. I'm sure you will see numerous 1x product announcements from the manufacturers as these networks are launched commercially over the coming months -- it's still early yet.
