But this ain't over with yet. I'd say the odds of Bush winning remain slightly in his favor, although this deal of having the Florida Legislature select the electors is a little too far-fetched to succeed. I pretty much agree with that exactly. It is unclear how many can be confirmed and certified by Sunday. Baker's pandering appeal to the Florida Legislature to act in some way looks to be a real subornation of the will of the electorate. It it throws it to the Congress - having two sets of electors - not only might Hastert become interim President, but the American People might prefer that he remain.

That 70 number was tossed out because someone said 10% of the ballots were rejected for postage. Democrats are hoping just the postage issue will be re-visited and nothing else. This way they can disingenuously claim they tried to assuage the disgust so many Americans are feeling toward Al Gore. Kerry is a hypocrite. Like most Democrats. If he truly believed what he is saying. Then he would be complaining about the non-enforcement of voter responsibility toward hanging chads.
