I'm surprised you claim that if Gore wins, he will have "stolen" the election. Even Buchanan said on national TV that he is sure that most of the votes for him in Palm Beach were intended for Gore.

Even though everyone knows I favor Bush, at this point it won't bother me if Gore wins. In two years the republicans will pick up more house seats and in four years the republicans likely will wins. There is no way to say what the outcome would have been if everyone had voted the way they supposedly intended to. You can include the supposed "mistakes" in Palm Beach, put what about the few thousand people who turned away in the 15 minutes before the polls closed in the 10 counties in the central time zone in the panhandle.

My point is that you can't count intent from a dimpled ballot. The way people voted is the way it should count. I can just see Gore winning by counting the dimpled ballots and excluding the military ballots.
