Ted, There were in excess of 970+ votes for Gore in those "noisy" counties Don't let fact interfere with your fantasy. Of the 1484 votes Gore gained on the recount, 1160 came from Palm Beach and Pinnelas counties. What I call "noise" were the remaining 324 votes in remaining 65 counties with much higher population, including 98 vote gain in hand recount of Volusia county. So can you run again by me your theory that the Democrat Counties were trying to steal the election for Bush? Why not? Can you show me evidence that they weren't....that some Republican Party counter(s) did not stack the deck for Bush? I think you are departing reality here and entering a surreal world here. Say hello to Jesse Jackson there for me. jh: these counties were trying to do something fishy on the recount holds more water t:Do you have proof to substantiate this claim? I have no evidence. I just presented intuitive claim vs. your counter-intuitive claim on the vote change during recount. Don't even go there.......your dubya has lost the popular vote and its still unclear whether he will win the electoral college vote....so why hasn't he done the honorable thing and conceded? Inquiring minds desperately want to know..... You are kidding, right? Joe

As for the 2 democratic counties having a large share of the missing votes....do you think their vote counters were only Democrats?" Let me 'splain something.... Pinellas county (where I was born, BTW) found about 400 more votes for Gore because they found a retirement community precinct had not been counted...This was a mistake at the poll...and was corrected. No suspect tally there... Palm Beach County (where I live now) found about 700 more votes for Groe on the machine recount... Short of missing a precinct...no other county in the state even came close to that amount of new found votes for Gore during the machine recount. I think this is very suspicious... There ahve even been reports of votamatic machines in the trunks of Boca Raton councilmen. No one has said for sure if those 700 votes were tainted...but they do look suspicious...in light of the brewhaha over the butterfly ballot... Jim
