<CDMA in Saudia Arabia?? You must be talking about Gloablstar.... NO?> YES! They use Globalstar and therefore CDMA in Saudi Arabia. Those Globalstar satellites are sprinkling their magic CDMA phragmented photon Pixie dust all over the world as you read this. Petatrillions of clever little photons looking for phriends. With Vodaphone selling the wondrous wands* which watch for whispering words of love.

Mqurice

* wondrous wands = those big, unfolding, handset aerials which look like little guns and will certainly cause some jumpy policeman to shoot somebody. I just thinking it's nicer to think of them as wondrous wands than weapons of war.

PS: The stockmarket is certainly having a lot of fun today. Maybe the huge bull-market is over ... heh, heh, heh...Buy the Dips!! We don't hear "Buy the dips" so much these days. Though there are obviously a huge number of people doing just that [since for every seller there is a buyer]. They seem more like dups, or simply drops these days. This is going to be so much fun to see the Dow take off and zoom all the way to 16,000 in just over a year, February 2002. It's going to have to hurry. That'll be a 50% increase. Wow! I better go check the graph for historical precedent. Here it is; it seems doable. quote.yahoo.com^DJI&d=my

It's been flat for two years, so there is obviously some pent up pressure. But I don't see many, or any, 50% increases in one year. Wow, that will make the coming increase a world record, which is fitting for the beginning of the new millennium and the coming of It.

pcstel, though we've agreed to disagree on the niche G* may successfully occupy (and I don't discount your reasoning, just don't share some of the assumptions), I am curious your take on the current time line for 3g roll out. Are you concerned at all at the apparent slide to the right for world wide 3g? Just wondering how much of the 3g expected royalty stream to be enjoyed by Q* may be delayed? Do you think a time line is built into Q's stock price, and delay will adversely affect it?
