The SOX seems to be widely discussed as the leader; the 'tell' for the market.

Its being closed at its lows of the day. A break of 620 should see some sort of test at 600 where the whole world will collectively watch its breath.

"Danger Will Robinson"

EDIT: VIX is starting its climb back up. 5 day RSI of VIX supporting the view that this will get worse before it gets better.

New Lows on Nasdaq have today surpassed the peak that was reached in the spring sell off. Idle musing on my part, I've been wondering if we'd see a 1000+ new low figure (654 right now) near the bottom. I think it may well happen. That would be indicative of all the generals and soldiers having been shot and many are positioned for that.

So maybe a climatic blow off bottom is around the corner. Since so many are looking for exactly that, I suppose the diabolical outcome is that it never happens, and its just grind down...

EDIT again, market internals very poor, despite a holiday day when volume is normally weaker. Down volume 1249M up volume 260. A/D 3:1.
