"While I am probably less bullish on AMD's fundimentals then you are, I do think you are right that any price this low is an anomaly. However anomalies can exist in stock prices for awile. I think AMD will trade above $40, but not this year."

Who knows what will rekindle AMD's spark and when...and how long it will take for AMD to reacquire a reasonable valuation above $40...will it be surging 1.2 gig/DDR demand, Dell, the new Palomino standard, entry into the server and mobile spaces with market leading performers, or just an investor awakening to the fact of the outstanding potential that lies ahead for AMD, a potential that should easily surpass 20% revenue and earnings growth in Y2001, particularly now that the P4 threat has been demystified by the introduction of the rather benign, sickly even, 1.4 gig P4 would-be competitor!!!

Dave, as you know, I can't rationalize, in my worst case scenario, AMD trading below $40...That it today trades at $20 is, imho, one of the largest anomalies I've ever seen in the marketplace...

It is at times like this that I get an ulcer thinking about a famous investor's quote: "The market's capacity to remain irrational far exceeds your capacity to remain solvent."

Sigh - very, very long AMD...
