I have dell Dimension running Millenium. I recently downloaded Quicktime from Apple. All sites now with MIDI use the quicktime extension and it sounds like "crap." How do I change this so whatever was playing MIDI files in the past will be the default?bgcom more familiar with Macs so I need help.

Thank you.

PMS

Following this problem, I thought I'd try it myself( feeling adventurous, no dos training at all). I typed E: after the a prompt and that brought me to an e prompt. Typing setup at this prompt and hitting enter immediately launched setup with my original 98 disk. I'm running 98se upgrade and if I try using the se disk to reinstall all I get is a message that I need windows to do this. I guess I can't install 98se without installing 98 first. I checked out several sites that said a full install from an upgrade cd could be done on some of the early versions but not the later ones. FWIW

PW, >Could Dave be trying the wrong SETUP.EXE?<

Possible. I can't check into this because I don't have a Win CD - just a newfangled 'restore CD'.
