Ron, I was shocked to learn today that there are 100K "undervotes" in the state of Florida. That sounds like alot to me, even in a state that had 6 million votes counted. Whether it's statistically significant relative to other states, I don't know. But it could certainly be statistically sigificant to the outcome in Florida. An undervote is a ballot that didn't register any vote for President. I believe that these are the only ballots that Miami-Dade wants to look at in the time allotted. Whether a dimpled chad is counted as a vote one way or the other may depend on what the rest of the ballot looks like. If there are a bunch of other dimples on the same ballot, I think it's safe to say the voter was trying to vote.
