The last and best hope for T outside of its wireless business was to build out its cable systems as a local loop for voice communications. That's were value is CREATED and that is why I invested in ANTC. Last year the old GTE (now Verizon) sold off some access lines in the midwest and received a sales price of over $3K per line!

T needs to be aggressive with its pricing of local telephone service via cable in order to grow the business. Mediaone (now a T entity) offers this service in Boston and is very uncompetitive in price compared to Bell Atlantic (now Verizon). I need a financial incentive to change my service. Isn't that the premise of how long distance sellers operate? To offer one a better deal than a competitor can?

I think it was here or on the Yahoo board that someone said T just spent $100 billion to buy cable companies and they are not about to ignore that investment. Well, today's press release is a sign that T might just fall on its own sword. Accordingly, be mindful of ANTC's debt load going forward. I am buying more ANTC at $5. Go ahead and laugh at the price target ahead of tax loss selling season. But if I told you back in March that I was waiting to buy ANTC at $13 you would have shouted me off this board. <G>
