In Duval County, the canvassing board voted to accept 68 of 81 previously rejected overseas ballots. Bush had a net gain of of 20 votes -- 44 for Bush, 24 for Gore.

The board had struck a deal with Republicans under which the GOP dropped the county from the lawsuit and the county agreed to count 68 of the 81 overseas ballots that had been rejected.
