KestelCo, enjoyed your reply. My thoughts......

What makes you think I’m a Liberal anyway????????????

Actually I am "some kind" of Communalist :)))))))

<<They won the deficit war on the backs of the poor and middle class.>>

No argument there!!! Why on their backs? Couldn't have anything to do with Bay Street EH! Old Bobby Ray learned who's running this ship in one hellofa hurry didn't he now!

<<These people are now excluded from EI since they are working as self employed.>>

Been there did that! Many of the self-employed paid their wives short of arms length, then laid them (off):) so they could collect UI OPS! EI. Hear again that solution was wrong, the guilty ones should have been prosecuted! OPS! Not enough staff to investigate, can't make the gov. bigger well then scrap it don't FIX it ! How common a remedy this has become lately!

RE jails as a solution <<Propose something better>>

You may just opened Pandora’s box hear. Where would you like to go with this one?
Just a couple of thoughts on this,…… how about we teach or kids very early in life the "TRUE" value of money…..To be their BROTHERS keeper….. To lose is as great as to win! That they can achieve without "In God We Trust". Happiness is something found inside ones being not his wallet.
How is it one rationalizes punishment as a solution? Where has this ever worked? Didn't we try this before? Why do we see criminal acts as some kind of sane/logical though process and not a mental deficiency in need of medical help?

Sorry! Me thinks the solution may lay in (oh! know!) spending MORE moneys on REHABILITATION (bigger GOV), maybe the odd bit of food and clothing might help!!!
Spending money on more JAILS is very shallow thinking. Society is not going to be happy living behind armed walls, better dealt with now, than hidden in another "snake" pit!

<<He never answers my queries regarding politicians or mosquitoes>>

"Mosquitoes" Gods revenge for man being so BENT OVER :))LOL (Stup-id)

<<Our health care system while far better than most in its fairness, sucks.>>

I AGREE! But adding PROFIT and GREED is NOT a solution to human suffering!

<<" Don't worry, Be Happy" >>

Refer to my opening statement!

Musing............(LIBERALS)Our choices are limited at this time. I would prefer Paul Martin but that is not to be. Maybe the LITTLE MAN will leave the gauntlet to Martin shortly after this election, we shall see. None of the "other" parties have enough experience at being in POWER at a time when US interests maybe turning inward (assuming W wins}. Canada will NEED a strong government in order to resist these inward thrusts.
Unlike some on this board I am PROUD to be CANADIAN NOW and LIKE TO KEEP IT THAT WAY!!!

Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Respct,
Gerry
