Citigroup and American Express are the bluest of blue, but why go this direction now when there are such pickings among the leading new economy names? That's closing the barn door...

I'd lie down until the urge passes. You know so many better companies than these. I suppose Lucent might be a bet based on new management, but I think there is plenty of time to detect rennewed product momentum. Circuit-based communications is moribund, and Lucent is lacking in packet.
