"If it were proportional, Alaska would only get one electoral vote. "

I was wondering how it worked out proportionally compared to population. Which state gets the most weight in electorial votes compared to it's population? Being as the electorial votes are whole numbers I figured some states were getting more bang for the buck with the electorial college..is there some formula of number of people to each electorial vote. In some cases, where Bush won states big I would guess the disproportionate popular vote would carry more weight.
