Has anyone made up any jokes about Monica Lewinsky and dangling chads? Dimpled chads? Punch cards? Male Palm Beach voters missing the right place on the ballot and failing to get the stylus through? Butterfly ballots with a Monica spread? Just some ideas for the creative types out there, and a well-meaning effort to consolidate presidential discussions. Start a new thread: Monica's Chad.

...PREPARING THE TURKEY: Proper turkey preparation is critical. according to the U.S.
Department of Agriculture, more Americans die every year from eating improperly
cooked turkey than were killed in the entire Peloponnesian War....

Please help reduce the ballot confusion by sending a donation of leftover turkey to the home for AMVPW (American Veterans of the Peloponnesian War) in Palm Beach, Florida. Recount efforts are being stymied by attempts to determine the intent of the voter as to whether a voting machine punctured by a spear was an intended vote for Gore, or merely an attempt to eliminate him from the ballot. It is reported that absentee ballots from the front are being rejected for being filed on un-approved parchment.

Regards, Don

You've posted about fitness and nutrition stuff in the past. I was looking at glucosamine/chondroitin supplement for worn knee from cycling and running. Considering that the supplements include salicylates (pain killer as in acetominophen), it would appear that these "joint-building" supplements are no more use for building joints than excedrin contrary to the claims that I saw on the news magazine on tv the other day.

Cheapskate Alert, My old friend, Bluely, is offering 20% off your total purchase between now and December 1. Yes, I am still having trouble with them on suits, though the Flyrep who is helping me seems to be trying really hard to get me a suit that fits with pants. <g> Still, I've had great luck with them on many other items. You just can't beat their prices and they have a large selection of gift items. Here is the total scamaroo you can run right now: 1. Get their Bluefly Visa approved within five minutes for $50 off your first order. And, 5% rebate on any amount above the free $50 on the first order and everything on all future orders. 2. Get free shipping by registering at Brandsforless. It's only $5.95, but they also have a rebate program of about 1%. 3. Get the immediate 20% off.

No, they're not paying me to shop there yet, but they are getting closer. <g>

As always, I have no connection with these guys other than as a customer.
